Latest beauty buys!

Ok so this is a post about the latest beauty products I have bought. To start off with, here's a picture of them! The photo quality is not good at all because I'm using my iPad so apologies for this!

I also find it hard to position the picture which is why the layout is a bit dodgy.

So first off, I bought Rimmel's Wake Me Up Foundation. Now I have tried this before and bought this because my other one was running out. Before this though, I used dream matte mouse and found that it wasn't really working, so I changed to liquid foundation and was really happy with Rimmel's one. This foundation doesn't feel heavy when worn and also doesn't fall off either. It covers up acne and blemishes easily and this tone is perfect for my skin tone. I haven't really had the chance to try other foundations as I'm not a big foundation wearer but I highly recommend this rimmel foundation! It's quite pricey compared to other high street foundations, but its still affordable at £8.99 and lasts for ages so its worth buying this!

For my face wash, I use the Neutrogena Visibly Clear daily scrub and I always buy it in pink grapefruit because it smells amazing! When I first used this, the smell reminded me of orange squash for some reason and I just had to buy it! I haven't really noticed a big change to my skin from using it, but everyone needs a face wash to cleanse the pores and this one has the added bonus of smelling good! It's cheap and also lasts quite a long time as well so definitely worth investing in.

Next is the Natural Collection blusher and the colour I bought is called Peach Melba. I have a very pale skin tone so I needed something that wasn't bright. I tried this today and I'm really impressed with it. It doesn't overpower my face but adds a hint of colour still. I haven't worn blusher in ages, I just used to wear bronzer which was a big mistake for my skin tone as it just looked horrible and made my face to overly tanned and orange. This blusher is so nice and it stays on your cheeks for a long time. It was also very cheap at only £1.99! I have to say I am a very big fan on Natural Collection because their make up is good quality, yet affordable. Sometimes I go into Mac or Nars, look at their blusher and then see the price tag and it puts me off so much. This blusher here does the same job and the difference in quality is hardly noticeable!

Finally, I bought two nail polish's in a green/blue colour and a nude pink. Unfortunately I bought them from a make up store in Bangkok and I don't know if they are online but it was called The Bakery Store. It was really cheap and the products they had were ones you can't get in the UK. I love the nail polish's because of their unique colour and they last a long time without chipping. I also bought a lipstick in a bright pink (in the picture below). The lipstick is very nice as its smaller than most lipsticks, meaning easy application without smudging, but its still the same size as its longer length wise. I also noticed that it stays on your lips instead of coming off on cups and glasses every time you drink something! I seem to have a massive problem with that and I don't like buying 24 hr lipsticks because I like to take it off during the same day. I bought the whole lot for I think around 300 baht which works out as around £6 so very cheap!

It's all about layers!

As the summer days draw to a close and the autumn rolls in, I find it really hard to try and style my summer clothes so that they don't look summery but are still wearable. Being in the UK, I have more winter clothes than summer but the summer clothes I do have usually consist of floral dresses, patterned skirts and decorative tops. So as its end of August, I was trying to find a way to wear my playsuit that I only bought this summer, and make it look less summery and more autumny (if that's even a word?)

As I was raiding my closet I came across an old shirt that I hardly wear, so I tried it on over my playsuit and I thought it look pretty cool. The ultimate moral of this blog post is that experimenting by layering can turn a summer dress into a dress that can be worn all year round, much more economical! Here's a picture of an outfit I made, but whether it be tops, dresses or playsuits, a simple shirt can spruce up an entire outfit!

Playsuit: Republic
Shirt: H&M
